National Parks
The Granite Belt offers exploration and adventure with its choice of National Parks. Spectacular Girraween National Park is just 30 minutes from Granite Gardens. Explore its huge granite boulders towering above open forests or one of the many waterholes encountered along the creek. Situated approximately one hour from our property, Sundown National Park is a more rugged wilderness area with spectacular sharp ridges and steep-sided gorges. Some of the unsealed roads of Sundown are only accessible by high clearance 4WD vehicles, so please read the guides we have provided in your accommodation before setting out. Boonoo Boonoo National Park (pronounced “bunna bu-noo”), is worthy of a day trip from Granite Gardens. A highlight is to view the Boonoo Boonoo River cascading over granite cliffs before plunging 210 metres into a vast gorge below.
You will find all the information you require for a day’s exploration in your cottage but if you have further questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
