Just a scenic three-hour drive south-west of Brisbane and only ten minutes from the township of Stanthorpe, Granite Gardens Cottages & Lake Retreat is a peaceful escape surrounded by beauty at every turn.

Set across thirty-seven acres of tranquil countryside, the property features established gardens, rolling lawns and majestic Wallangarra gums. Four beautifully appointed guest houses — three Spa Cottages and one Lake Retreat — are thoughtfully spaced for privacy, serenity, and connection with nature. Each offers a relaxing home away from home for couples seeking romance, rest, or simply a slower pace.

After years in corporate life and raising our family, we discovered our true calling was to create a haven for travellers — a place that captures the warmth, care, and hospitality we loved most during our own adventures across Australia and overseas.

In 2018, we found Granite Gardens, and instantly knew it was home. The property brought together our shared passions for gardening, design, and meaningful connection with guests. Since then, we’ve poured our hearts into maintaining its beauty and ensuring every guest leaves feeling refreshed, inspired, and a little more in love with the Granite Belt.

We feel incredibly fortunate to live in this magical part of Queensland and to share it with those who seek peace, nature, and genuine country hospitality.
